Relax and give ear to my tale
Tale of a beautiful black territory
It might make your face, pale
But this is the totality of reality
I know a country
Whose leaders are sadist and greedy,
Extremely egocentric without reasonable reason
And toys with the nation’s treasury
With their sharp claws of injustice
They poke the eyes of justice
Butcher truth at the abattoir of service
Spicing it up with malodorous fragrance
Feeding the citizens with ephemerals
Adapting their skin to chronic hardship
Leaving them in a state of despondency
On the territory filled with earth’s glory
ALAS! Presenting opportunity that hold a cost
A stronghold of abundant human drudgery
Where terrorists terrifies terribly
Killing young and old, going scot-free!
Now I ask
where then is the proclaimed liberty?
Of what essence is the gospel of equity?
When the spirit of democracy
Lies in the sepulcher of autocracy
But this I find difficult to comprehend;
Why citizens with power
Dig the grave of their future
With their skinny thumb of ignorance?
